In the past meal delivery services have got a bad rep, people associate them with dry food that’s lacking in taste and usually can’t meet the standards of a home cooked meal.

Pete’s Paleo proves all these preconceived notions wrong. This meal delivery service is as fresh as they come. The food is harvested the very same day that you place your order.

Not only are the meals that arrive at your door farm fresh, they also change with the seasons and what the farmers are growing and harvesting, so you will never get bored of what you are eating. View a full list of the menu on their website.

At EasyFit, they believe it is important to have a balanced diet. That’s why they create meal plans that contain protein, healthy fats and veggies so that you can be the healthiest version of you.

Putting together a plan is simple, use the meal builder to tell the chefs what you do and don’t like. They will then create a plan tailored to you. Then all you have to do is sit back, relax and wait for them to come to you.

EasyFit understand how difficult it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle and their CEO, Giovani Rubalcava, after being bullied about his size at school, decided to do something about it. Changing his diet and exercising more regularly began to make a huge difference and Gio developed a passion for clean, healthy living.

Introduction to Gym Meals and owner Alex Birch

Gym Meals
is a fresh new healthy meal prep service that has recently launched and is here to serve the UK. Take a break from cooking and let Gym Meals prepare and deliver delicious and nutritious macro friendly food that is full of flavour and tastes great.

Alex Birch, the founder of West Midlands based Gym Meals creates meals that fuel your body with the nutrients it needs to support your gym/fitness goals.  All of Gym Meals are freshly cooked using ingredients sourced locally with no additives or preservatives.

Entrepreneurial business studies graduate, Alex Birch
decided to set up Gym Meals after spotting a gap in the market for people who wanted macro friendly meals that are great tasting. He regularly goes to the gym and understands how boring it is to have the same type of meals over and over again. Therefore Alex wanted to set up a company that provides customers with nutritious, great tasting meals that can be used in a variety of nutritional plans whilst helping them achieve their gym/fitness goals.

I sent Karl Greenshields the Director of Prepp'd, (a fitness meal prep company based down in Dorset) a few questions to answer. Take a look at how the question and answer session panned out below.

Rachel Garwood: What has been one of your biggest challenges so far with running food prep companies and how have you overcome this?

Karl Greenshields: I think starting any business is hard, then starting a business with perishable goods is even harder, then starting a business with perishable goods that people are going to eat adds another layer of complexity and then finally this can't be any food, it has to be nutritionally spot on while still tasting great, this makes it REALLY HARD. We've tried 1000's of recipes, got through 4 chefs and tested 100's of different packaging solutions all to make sure that the food is spot on when it arrives with the customer.

Who Are Prepp'd & What Should You Expect
Prepp'd meals are created with the help of Nick Holt - a fine dining chef that has worked in a number of Michelin starred restaurants and made ready-to-eat foods for prestigious stores such as Selfridges. Karl Greenshields is the owner of Prepp'd and has worked in the meal prep industry for a number of years and therefore has a wealth of operational experience.

Prepp'd meals are created with a top trainer who has a high end training company doing one to one sessions with premiership footballers, members of the Saudi royal family and top company executives etc.
Prepp'd will feature a number of guest recipes from top fitness competitors and celebrity nutritionists and the first ones will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

45 year old, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson charts 19th on the Forbes World's Wealthiest Celebrities List of 2016, with earnings of approximately $64.5 Million before tax. Voted Sexiest Man alive by People Magazine in 2016, Dwayne was born in Hayward, California and played college football for the University of Miami on a full scholarship. After graduating in 1995 he went onto become a professional wrestler in 1996. During his wrestling bouts, Johnson has won many championships and fellow wrestlers, WWE legend Hulk Hogan  called The Rock the biggest superstar in the business and wrestling champion John Cena described him as the biggest superstar in the history of WWE.

Dwayne became an actor in 1999 and was the highest paid in his profession by the end of 2016. He is also a producer and a best selling author.  Johnson has appeared in films such as the Fast and the Furious Franchise and the newly released film version of the classic tv show Baywatch. I loved watching that show growing up.
Check out Dwayne with co-star Zac Efron in the above trailer for his new film.

With a history stretching back to 2003, Bodychef is an established healthy meal delivery service. It all started when Jayne Richie, founder of Bodychef, was preparing meals for a handful of clients in her own kitchen. They proved so popular and demand increased so much that Jayne expanded her operation, founding Bodychef.

Now, Bodychef offers 20 different diet plans (including halal options) that can be completely customised to suit your specific dietary requirements. Each diet plan is focused on losing or maintaining weight, as well as increasing overall health and wellbeing.
There’s something for everyone with plans ranging from paleo diets to gluten free diets to detox diets.

Personalisation
Bodychef has managed to maintain the same level of personalisation you’d expect from a meal cooked in a home kitchen. This is clear in Bodychef’s diet creation process:

Enter information such as weight, your date of birth, and some info about your daily routine. This helps Bodychef determine your calorific requirements.
Choose a single plan from the 20 on offer, which acts as a core basis for your diet.
Personalise your plan by setting your own calorie limits, swapping out foods you dislike, and accounting for any allergies.
Then simply wait for your delivery and ‘heat up and eat up’.
